Romans 5:8 reads: But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.
Imagine loving someone so much that you would go to the cross for them. Well, Jesus did just that for EVERY ONE of us. He was beaten, mocked and nailed to a cross to die for our sins.
The Old Testament talks about people atoning for their sins by making sacrifices to God. Jesus changed that. He came to us knowing we were sinners, giving us himself, a perfect mentor to teach us the way to live a righteous life. He then died for our sins so we no longer have to “pay” for them. We repent and try our BEST to live a more Godly life. He took the nails for ALL of us.
Psalm 23:5-6 reads: You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
The Good Life, indeed.
Does your cup overflow? It’s absolutely amazing how much the Creator of the universe loves us and wants nothing but good for us! Yes, bad things happen. The Bible doesn’t say that life is a box of chocolates! But by staying the course and following Him, we are refined, meaning we get Him and His purpose for us. God uses an overflowing cup to symbolize just how much He loves us — so much that it can’t be contained. New coffee size: The Almighty!

As we follow the lessons of the Great Teacher, Jesus Christ, we gain His wisdom, and in turn, are able to teach others about God’s Kingdom — in essence, being “fishers of people.” Go fish!
